What can we see and hear in hedges? Here are some strange things - candy canes growing, perhaps, for Christmas! After the storm, over there, you can see the remains of a barn that was all ruined by strong winds.  There is an old saying: There isn't a down without an eye, nor a hedge without an ear. There's no down nearby to my house, but there are many hedges all around. Perhaps, there is an animal in the hedge that will hear us. I can't hear anything, but I can see a badger "slide" in the road bank.

Here's one red camelia among the leafless branches of the pear tree. There are more flowers on the pink camelia too. I am worried about my flowers. There's still a lot of work to do to organise and clean up the garden. Cornwall is notorious for rainy weather. The air near the sea can be quite salty too, therefore iron can rust quickly. Our grandchildren's trampoline became rusty and it wasn't safe any more. The old slide had to go too. A nice man, Dan Hall of Redruth, came with a white van and took the things away. Soweth, na wrüga vy besca gweles howldrevel Stonehenge en bledhydnyow tremenys, ha na wra vy nevra y weles en termyn a vedn dos. Sometimes in winter we can see a very beautiful sunrise. In this one, the low sun is illuminating the clouds pink and orange, among the grey and blue. Without doubt there will be many beautiful sunrises in summer as well - but I won't wake up early enough in the morning to see them. Sadly, I have never seen Stonehenge sunrise in years gone by, and I will never see it in the future.
